Hi , My name Is Ryan Dsouza . I was born in Bantwal B.C Road , and did my early schooling in Bantwal , after which I moved to Mangalore for a few years . I did my 10th in Padua High school and did my 11th and 12th in St. Aloyusuis College (BSBA 21st Batch , Hi Juan!).

Deep Learning

I began my career in deep learning in 2018 with an internship at Predible Health (acquired by nference) and have since worked at multiple organizations solving problems in image classification, detection, segmentation, finetuning of LLM's , RAG solutions and very recently agentic workflows . A few highlights are shared below ;

Classification

ID card classification — fine‑tuned ResNet and EfficientNet for Aadhaar, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID, and PAN [Signzy].

Detection

Faster R‑CNN vehicle detection — improved detection of auto‑rickshaws, trucks, tempos, and more [Scientist].
Pothole, barrier, and accident/dent detection from highway footage [Scientist].

Segmentation

First 8‑digit segmentation from Aadhaar cards [Signzy].
Arterial, venous, and portal‑vein segmentation on CT scans [Predible].

NLP / LLM / RAG

Fine‑tuned BERT/RoBERTa to extract entities (name, DOB, address, mother’s name) from ID cards [Signzy].
Fine‑tuned Gemma‑1B with LoRA (~9k samples) for test‑case generation; competitive with GPT‑4o [Yethi].
Built RAG pipelines that turn BRDs into business processes, scenarios, and test cases [Yethi].

I have been interested in singing as far back as I can remember and have sang for my college and university choir.

What kind of a podcaster will I be If I don't do Jiu-Jitsu , I first started Jiu-Jitsu in 2017 and then took a break from it and got into again in 2022 , I have taken part in two amateur matches wining one and tying the second one ( with great difficulty ) .
